The Saemangeum Development Agency is hosting the 2026 Saemangeum AI Video Contest, inviting participants to creatively express Saemangeum’s vision as a future city using generative AI technology.

Show us Saemangeum’s future shaped by advanced industries such as robotics and hydrogen through your imagination and AI technology.

Anyone may participate regardless of nationality.

※ Individual or team participation is allowed.

Total prize money: KRW 3,000,000

 

Grand Prize: 1 winner × KRW 1,500,000

Excellence Award: 2 winners × KRW 500,000

Encouragement Award: 5 winners × KRW 100,000

접수방법

 How to Submit

 

Submit by email to the contest manager.

 

Required submissions: Application form, original video, and clean video

Email subject: Video Title_Name or Team Name

 

Video Submission Method

 

Please upload the video file to your personal online storage space and submit the shared URL.

 

※ Acceptable examples: Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, YouTube unlisted link, etc.

※ The shared link must be set to “Anyone with the link can view” or otherwise allow access.

※ If the video cannot be accessed during the evaluation period, it may be excluded from evaluation without prior notice.

※ This contest is for video content created using generative AI technology, and submitted works must be original creations directly planned and produced by the applicant.

 

- All submitted works must be original creations that have not been submitted to or awarded in any other contest. They must be works planned by the applicant during the contest period and created/edited using generative AI tools.

- Applicants must verify the terms of use of the AI tools used, rights to use the works, and whether they may be used for commercial or non-commercial purposes. Works whose generative AI-based production process cannot be verified may be excluded from evaluation.
※ Examples: Manually created works such as digital drawings, photo retouching, or simple editing of existing videos

- All elements used in the video, including images, music, videos, fonts, and portraits, must not infringe on copyrights or portrait rights. The AI tools and sources of materials used must be clearly stated in the application form.
※ Examples: Image generated with Midjourney / Music generated with Suno AI / Video generated with Runway / Font used: Baemin Font

- In the event of any disputes related to the submitted work, including copyright, portrait rights, trademark rights, defamation, or infringement of personal information, the applicant shall bear all legal responsibility.

- If issues such as plagiarism, unauthorized use, false information, or prior submission to or award from another contest are confirmed, the work may be excluded from evaluation, the award may be revoked, and the prize money may be reclaimed.

- The copyright of the submitted work shall belong to the applicant. However, for winning works, the host organization may use them as online and offline promotional content, including on the Saemangeum Development Agency website, blog, SNS, YouTube, press releases, exhibitions, events, promotional materials, and publications.

- In the case of team participation, the contents completed and agreed to by the team representative shall be deemed to have been agreed to by all team members. In the event of winning, the certificate and prize money shall be awarded to the team representative.

- Duplicate awards for the same individual or team may be restricted. Any disadvantages caused by incorrect information provided by the winner or failure to make contact shall be the responsibility of the applicant.

- Depending on the evaluation results, the number of winning works may be adjusted, or no winning works may be selected. The details of the evaluation will not be disclosed.

- The contest schedule and details may be subject to change depending on the circumstances of the host organization, and submitted works and related documents will not be returned.

- Works that undermine social norms and public morals, or contain discrimination, hate, violence, obscenity, historical distortion, false information, or similar content may be excluded from evaluation.
